London based and Irish born Neo Soul/Jazz songstress Aisling Iris does things the way she wants. Born to a jazz-singing piano playing mother from the wilds of rural Co Cork.
A singer/songwriter Aisling (pronounced Ashling) grew up listening and being influenced by the likes of Ella Fitzgerald, Betty Carter, Marvin Gaye and Herbie Hancock.
Her voice has been described as a revelation - her range and control mixed with her wonderful ability to scatt - ala Betty Carter.
Aisling eclectic talents has seen her touring as support to Roots Manuva, Phil Asher, Ian Friday, Domu, Omar, the late Lyndon David Hall, Estate Mtingwazi and collaborated with Tony Koffi.
